I was excited when Barett Christensen of Bentz Whaley Flessner asked me to be a guest on the BWF LIVE Fundraising show on Facebook. If you didn’t get a chance to tune in, you can watch the entire interview below.

Bentz Whaley Flessner is a wonderful organization that aims to transform philanthropy by collaborating with colleges, universities, medical centers, and other leading nonprofits to build successful and integrated advancement programs. In their effort for transformation, it fits that we discuss my book, Gender Matters: A Guide to Growing Women’s Philanthropy.

In the presentation we discuss the economic and societal shifts that inform the state of women in philanthropy today. It can’t be ignored that women are involved in most gift decisions, are more likely to give then men, and continuously make big gifts. So we take a look at how women give differently and why, as well as how to evolve past the “best practices” that focus on men, and shift solicitation approaches to be inclusive of women.

As a thank you for watching, I am offering you a free guide, which outlines the top four steps to grow women’s philanthropy in your organization. Follow this link to download the guide.

Enjoy!
